About these terms

These terms apply when you use mybirdy.co or buy from us. Birdy is operated by Josei Infinite Private Limited, IHDP Business Park, Street Number 7, Sector 127, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh 201304, India. By placing an order, you agree to what follows.

About our books

Birdy books translate developmental science and psychology into stories and activities for children and families. They are made to support everyday life at home. They are not medical, psychological, educational or diagnostic advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

If you have concerns about a child's health, development, behaviour or emotional wellbeing, please speak to a doctor, psychologist or other qualified professional. Nothing in our books or on this site should delay you from doing so.

Our age bands reflect broad developmental stages, not fixed rules. Children grow at their own pace. Use the bands as a guide and your own judgement as the decider.

Who can order

You need to be eighteen or older to buy from us. If you are younger, ask a parent or guardian to order for you.

Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We accept it when we send you a confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil an order, whether because a title is out of stock or for any other reason, we will tell you and refund you in full.

We may cancel an order if we spot an error in the price or description, or if we suspect the order is fraudulent.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown before you pay.

We may change prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order we have already confirmed.

Delivery

We ship within India. Our dispatch and delivery timelines, and any delivery charges, are set out on our Shipping page. Those timelines are estimates, not guarantees, and delays outside our control can happen.

Risk passes to you on delivery. If your parcel arrives damaged, tell us within forty eight hours and we will sort it out.

Returns and refunds

Our returns and refunds terms, including the window for reporting a damaged or incorrect order, are set out on our Returns page.

We cannot accept returns of books that have been read, written in, or otherwise used, unless they were damaged when they arrived.

Refunds go back to the original payment method within seven to ten working days of approval.

Our content

Everything on this site, including the books, illustrations, text, characters and the Birdy name and marks, belongs to Josei Infinite Private Limited or is used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, adapt or resell any of it without our written consent.

Buying a book gives you a copy to read and enjoy. It does not give you rights to reproduce or perform it commercially.

Using this site

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, access it in unauthorised ways, or use it for anything unlawful. We may restrict access if you do.

Availability

We try to keep the site running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or entirely free of errors. We may change or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order.
