Where we ship

We ship across India. For international shipping, email us.

Order processing time

Orders are processed and dispatched within 1 to 2 working days of your order confirmation. We do not dispatch on Sundays or public holidays. You will get an email when your order leaves us, with a tracking link.

Transit time

Once dispatched, most orders arrive within 3 to 7 working days. Metro addresses are usually at the faster end of that range.

Transit time starts from the day we dispatch, not the day you order.

Shipping rates

Free shipping on orders above ₹499.

Orders below ₹499 carry a flat shipping charge of ₹49.

Charges are shown at checkout before you pay.

Tracking your order

Your dispatch email contains a tracking link. Tracking can take up to 48 hours to go live in the courier's system, so do not worry if it looks empty at first.

If your order has not arrived within 10 working days of dispatch, write to hi@josei.in with your order number and we will chase it.

Delivery address

Please check your address carefully before you pay. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was incomplete or incorrect, we will contact you and can send it out again, with shipping charged at the standard rate.

If nobody is home

Our courier partners usually make more than one attempt and will often call before delivery. If they cannot deliver after repeated attempts, the parcel comes back to us. We will get in touch to arrange a redelivery or a refund of the order value, minus shipping.

If a parcel is lost

Rarely, a parcel goes missing in transit. If your tracking stops updating, write to hi@josei.in with your order number and we will check with the courier. Once a parcel is confirmed lost, we will send a replacement or refund you in full, whichever you prefer. You will not be left carrying the cost of something we posted.

If your parcel arrives damaged

Please check your parcel when it arrives. If a book is damaged, write to hi@josei.in within 48 hours with your order number and a photograph.
